Kyros Hydrogen Solutions is participating in the project PEM4Heat within the framework of H2-well. This project focuses on the development of innovative technologies to power and heat a public building using hydrogen & oxygen.

In the project, a novel 300 bar PEM high-pressure electrolyzer is being developed. It generates hydrogen and oxygen from electricity and water and produces both at a high storage pressure without additional compression. The hydrogen and oxygen produced are fed into a specially developed circulation engine, which generates electricity to supply to a public building. The closed-loop motor does not emit any substances that are harmful to the climate, only water. The by-product of the electrolysis is heat, which is reused to heat the building.

In a second part of the project, an innovative hydrogen compressor for up to 1,000 bar is being developed to enable future hydrogen filling stations to be operated even more efficiently.

H2-well is one of 20 WIR! Regions, which were selected by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to promote structural change in regions in eastern Germany through new innovations (link to article). H2-well is one of 20 WIR! Regions, which were selected by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to promote structural change in eastern Germany through new innovations (link to article). Together with more than 40 partners and supporters from the area between the Main and Elbe rivers, our goal is to advance the structural change in the region by realizing a decentralized water management system.
